Ok, ok, so we all know by now that I am not a pasta person, but hoooooly hand pulled noodles! I was craving Chinese food, so of course, I go to the Yelp app to see what is in the area. After reading review after positive review about these mythical hand pulled noodles, I absolutely had to give them a try.
Little Chengdu is actually located inside of Blue Ocean Chinese, so it was a tad bit confusing to find, but well worth finding. As I mentioned, I ordered the sauteed hand pulled noodles and the soup dumplings. The chef has a work station setup near the back of the restaurant, upon which he truly does hand pull the noodles fresh to order to make your dish. It was fun to watch his handiwork. You know what was better than watching it? Why, tasting it, of course. Cooked in a onions, slices of beef, and variety of Chinese spices, this dish was unlike anything I had ever eaten before. The sauce was so delicious with just the right amount of heat and the noodles were chewy, heart warming perfection. The dumplings were filled with chicken, boiled lightly, and covered in another sauce that was equally spicy and fulfilling.
Great pasta at a Chinese eatery? Oh yes, it's true. It's SO true. You have got to try these for yourself. 5 stars easy for the little gem known as Little Chengdu.

Food is super salty. Service is horrible. The waiters has a bad attitude when you ask for something as if we were asking for free foods. Another thing is this restraunt has favortisim with its cusomters. Chinese customers get wonderful service as for the rest. Would not recommended this place to anybody.

It pains me to give bad reviews, but this place was a huge disappointment.
I feel bad for the owner because it's literally just himself doing everything at the restaurant. For that reason, I felt like a lot of shortcuts were taken and ingredients were omitted. Everything came out very slowly and almost all the food was fried and just covered in sauce.
We ordered several classic Szechuan dishes. The water boiled beef was a disaster. It was very salty and one-note. The spicy was there but it was mostly a giant bowl of salty thick soup with a few pieces of really tough beef floating inside and some Napa cabbage. We also got the spicy chicken, which was just fried chicken thighs covered in spicy chili oil. I love spice, but again, it lacked depth of flavor. It was just spicy with a hint of msg and nothing else. The chicken was definitely over fried and dry. The spicy and sour noodles were decent, but had nothing in it but noodles and broth. At least put some bean sprouts in it. The star of the night was the spicy eggplant. It was the only thing that had well rounded flavor and I would order again. Yet I could still taste how fried it was and the grease was overwhelming.
I can't say I would recommend this place. Don't take shortcuts at the expense of your customers. We -

After running some errands with my friend, she suggested to have our Lunch here. It was on a Tuesday. Time was about 12:20hrs. Another empty restaurant at that hour??
Hmmm...
Though I cannot deny there was like 2 other patrons dining in.
My friend raved about the food that they offer at this establishment.
Yes, the Chef aka I will call him "Uncle" was indeed very skillful with his hand pulled techniques of house made noodles aka handmade pulled noodles. YES those hand pulled house made noodles are made to order and hence your order will indeed take a longer time to be ready.
From what I could recall that afternoon, my friend and I shared the Scallion Pancakes ($7.99), Seafood Sizzling Rice ($17.99) and the Lanzhaou Authentic Handmade Pulled Noodle ($13.99) with Beef.
The Scallion Pancakes, are overcooked to my liking, though I cannot deny its indeed delicious and VERY greasy aka too oily.
For the Seafood Sizzling Rice, the Rice Cakes that comes along with it, was a little stale to my liking, but at least this dish comes out piping hot and cooked to order. Our server, poured the hot gravy on top of the Rice Cakes, from there the "sizzling" sound happened.
The seafood "gravy" reminded me of a certain dish I grew up eating. I cannot remember what's the actual name of it though. Most of the seafood are the imitation crab sticks, though I cannot deny, they put huge shrimp, some kind of white fish, scallops and vegetables. This dish is a little bland, hence I have to ask for something spicy. I ask for Chilli Oil but our server declined our request. Instead she gave us Sriracha Bottle Sauce. **SIGH**
Ahh... another Chinese restaurant that offers vegetables that is so common such as green bell peppers, broccoli and zucchini. I just wish they can offer Chinese vegetables instead of Western vegetables.
***DOUBLE SIGH***
Nevertheless, I enjoyed the Handmade Pulled Noodles, just like how I remember eating back in Singapore.
Since all the food are made to order, it DOES take awhile for our Lunch to be ready. Hence practice more patience or make sure you are NOT in a hurry to go else where for Lunch. Maybe that afternoon, they only have 1 chef who also have to cook all the dishes and made the handmade pulled noodles all by himself.
All in all it was an OK Lunch for me. Its more of the company. I just hope the next time around, they wont overcooked aka over-fried the scallion pancakes. Its 3.5 stars for the handmade pulled noodles. For the rest I had its more like 3 stars.
In terms of the service, its 2 stars at best. They ONLY have 1 lady staff who provide us with the stuffs we need aka cutlery, condiments etc - she needs to "smile" more. Or at least the Owner can employ more staffs who are more gracious towards dining patrons.
I wish them great success in this neighborhood and may they prosper many more years to come. Coz to find a Chef/Cook who can make handmade pulled noodles in house, its indeed VERY RARE here on Colorado soil. -

Delicious! The hand pulled noodles (very similar to Biang Biang boodles) and the Lanzhou la mian were delicious. My boyfriend and I shared both noodle dishes and it was a ton of food! You can see the owner pulling the noodles fresh in the back. Inexpensive dinner too.
